Product Specification

We build preliminary product specifications according to our customers inputs and comments. We combine the mix of technologies and interfaces that make most sense for the target application. Focus can be on price, reliability, small form factor or other constraints as indicated by the customer. The specification provided by Bithium should be validated by the customer before electronics or industrial design stage is initiated.

Embedded System Design

This phase includes:

• hardware design : functional block diagram, component selection, schematics, layout
• software/firmware : software development and testing

The use of a project portal supports medium and large scale projects where our customers or third parties have access to code repositories, schematics, layout and other relevant project data.

Industrial Design

Industrial design runs in parallel with hardware desgin as, for example, phisical dimensions of selected components play an important role in the achievable gadget size.

Industrial design by itself includes the below phases:

• product characterization
• concept creation
• customer approval

Prototyping

Prototyping is an essential phase on the development. It enables the validation of the harware and mechanical designs and supports a big portion of the software/firmware development. Both mechanical and electronics are prototyped so that a full validation is possible.

Testing

Testing can be shared by Bithium and our customers. It is on everyones interest to discover and resolve as many possible bugs and issues during this stage so that they can be resolved and move on to production.

Testing is facilitated by a test specification that can be developed and provided by Bithium.

Production

Bithium can provide not only the development but also the production of products or functional modules in accordance with our clients requirements. An experienced team verifies and inspects the products or modules guarantying they are in good operating conditions and ready for the entering market.

Bithium works with selected partners that provide from low to high volume productions.
